Undercover on a Faroese Salmon Farm
A few weeks ago zoologist and TV presenter Megan McCubbin joined the Neptunes Pirates crew in an undercover look into a Bakkafrost salmon farm on the Faroe Islands – what she found shocked her.
Tonnes of dead and diseased lice-ridden salmon piled high in storage containers, open-net pens with c150,000 fish crammed together– all from a company that is RSPCA Assured in their UK operations.
This is not sustainable, it’s not ethical– and it must stop. Open-net salmon farming is a social and environmental disaster. Join us and call on the RSPCA to suspend their assured scheme now.
